Good RPGs?

I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions on a good RPG game or two that I could buy. I have heard mixed reports on some games and I was just wondering if there are any good ones that you have played. I would really appreciate some feedback in this thread, as I am looking into getting a new game. Listed below are a few things that I would like in the game, but dont necessarily have to be.

Hopeful Requirements:
- Big storyline/Long gaming time {different quests/bosses and such}
- Hopefully online, but not a necessity
- Lots of different items and customizable things {character, items and such}

Those are just a few hopefuls but anything that is a good game I will look into

Also please don't suggest Oblivion as I already have it. Also not Two Worlds, because I plan on getting it when it comes out.
