This is a tutorial I just wipped up for those of you that dont know how to do a "Pixel Stretch" Signature. This tutorial is made useing photoshop elements 2.0 and the renders and fonts can be found around the net.

Pixel Stretch Tutorial :

Start by making a new document 450 by 150 in size. With a white background and RGB color.

http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b166/Frostbite_999/Tutorials/Pixel%20Stretch/pixelstretch1.jpg

Then make a new layer and copy your render in. Select a row of pixels (1 Pixel wide) down the entire render.

Copy that row of pixels and paste it on a new layer "UNDER" the render layer, then procede in stretching the 1 pixel layer through the whole width of the document.

I then made about 4 to 5 layers with grunge brushes in black. After a good brushing your picture should appear totally black, make a new layer above all the brushing and color it solid white. Then switch all the layers to soft light as shown here.

Select the stretch layer and go to "Filter", "Render", "Lens Flare" and place it in the bottom left of the stretch layer. And adjust it to how you would like it to look.

Then click the render layer and go to "Filter", "Render", "Lighting Effects". Adjust that to where it looks like your lens flare is shineing on the render.

After both these effects have been added then this is what the picture is starting to look like.

Next make a new layer above all the others and select a border around the entire picture 1 pixle wide and high.

Make a new layer and type your text in, for this tutorial I am useing a "FarCry" font. I select a grey text color so that it blends later on.

Then go to "Layer", "New Adjustment Layer", "Hue/Saturation". Click that and adjust your signature to a color that you like. I added more text and darkend the signature quite a bit. And my final project came out like this.

Now this isnt the full capability for the Pixel stretch signature it can turn out much better but this was a rushed tutorial ment for beginners. Hope this tutorial is helpful.

i like the outcome, but there's a little too much empty space.... maybe put the render in the middle?

Nice tut. :p

I like the outcome a little better before the Hue/Saturation step.
Just my preference.

Thanks for comments, and yes the render put in the middle does look very good but not what I was trying to accomplish with this tutorial 8)
