it should be 2.5x your official SD/DDR RAM size. So if you've got 512 MB RAM, put your VRAM size to 1280 MB.

VRAM is what the computer will use if RAM runs out, or to free up RAM. Most games require you to at least have it enabled but it's not TOO important.
