couple of ?'s RE: my 4 month old 360

I was playing Rainbow 6 Vegas last night and heard something hit my 360. Its in a cabinet so I guessed something went bad, really bad. I checked it and it was not reading the disc. I ejected it and tried a movie and it would not read that either. I take it to Gamestop to use the 2 year warranty and get a new unit. We take my Hard drive off mine and they put it on a new one. I get home and my controller will not work with the new 360. 1. What made the disc drive go boom? 2. How can I reprogram the wireless controller to work with the new box?

You can try syncing the controller since you need to sync everytime you get a new one

Has this happened to anyone before? The build date was 6-1-2006, my new one is 6-13-2006. Think it will happen again?

More than likely the laser got jacked up some how while spinning. Like Ctrl said the little sync button ))) looks like that on the top of the controller and on the front of the 360
