Its basically fun yoga/resistance training. Good concept, bad way of introducing and combining it with video games.

Imo the zapp gun looked pretty cool, and knowing nintendo, it isnt cheaply built, i do think it would be a little weird playing fps games with it though,.

as for the wheel, would you prefer using the other foam steering wheel that i believe comes with another game, with no extra features at all, besides the fact that you now get to hold something resembling a steering wheel?
The steering wheel that nintendo unveiled actually has you plug in the wiimote, with buttons to control the game on the steering wheel itself, and it even comes with mario kart for free. The plastic that the wheel is made out of is probably of the same material as the wiimote/nunchuck. I highly doubt that nintendo will force you to use the steering wheel for mario kart, i mean excite truck played just fine without, right?

Even so, Nintendos press conference was kindof a let down, they devoted a whole five minutes on the games that TRUE nintendo fans actually care about "Metroid, Zelda, Mario Etc." and then they spen half of the press conference on wii fit, which imo is an interesting concept, that will probably be a hit with casual gamers. It saddens me that nintendo's main focus right now is hardly for the hardcore gamer, but for their mainstream audience of Old people, and Inexperienced gamers that care more about using a game system to "get fit" than the true games that make the wii worth buying. I might get wii fit, but after I've spent countless hours on my lazy ass playing metroid, mario, and zelda for hours on end.

i like the zapp gun but its ugly and looks kiddy the PS3 gun looks cool and modern.

I want a reason to buy a damn wii Mario kart was one of them but not now what they showed us was just like double dash gameplay wise altho online looks wicked. I just dont think the wii is good for driving games i hate to play it in a damn pretend steering wheel that seriously looks way too small and plastic, when i can play 360 with a proper steering wheel with gears and pedals just seems lame to me.

I can agree with you on that one, i hope they include gamecube controller support, so you dont need to play that way, For example SSB brawl will let you use the Wiimote, the Wiimote+nunchuck, the classic controller, or the gamecube controller, each with their own set of customizable controlls, i belive that is the way that racing games, and other games not completely suited to nintendo's unique way of controlling games should be.

Maybe a third party developer should make a steering wheel with pedals and such for the wii?

It looks like fun, cancel my last comment, I never watched the whole video, it looks like kinda fun... And the soccer ball heading gives exercise from fast reflexes... don't be dumb.

I mean, it looks like fun but having to buy a peripheral makes it a terrible idea. Nobody will buy it, Nintendo has made a stupid move. It's like a fitness Wii Sports. You can't completely bash Nintendo with this though, remember EyeToy Kinetic? Yeah it sucked too.

And you can steer like you do in Excite Truck with MKWii, you don't HAVE to use the wheel... It's just there if you like it...

Cool concept I just dont think its greatly done yet. I dont want to have to buy another peripheral for the system I only play sometimes

You could get better results by actually going to the gym or playing some sports. A push-up trainer, wtf?
