hi, i just wanted to know if you guys know about geek squad (all I know is that the're located in best buy). I know they're people who fix your router but are they worth it? I have my router broken, I don't know what it is but it says that im not connected but i am, and sometimes it disconnects by itself and I have to keep connecting it over and over. But if you guys know about geek squad please let me know.

thanks

They are kinda expensive sometimes. :yeahthat: Some of there prices are crazy! It costs comething like $80 for them to back up 4GB worth of stuff for you! However, they are supposedly the best of the best. A couple of other options would be Frys, which has a technical service department. I'm guessing that would probably be a little cheaper. Or you may be better looking for a quiet, out-of-the-way store that may be a little more personal in their approach.

It'd be cheaper to buy a new router lol. $80 to fix it, vs. $50 for a brand new one. That doesnt seem like a hard choice to make. The way prices are now, unless you have a $3000 machine, it's usually easier and cheaper to replace rather than repair. Get a quote from them BEFORE they do anything. Know what they will charge, and know what they will do. I don't suggest doing it since replacement will certainly be the cheaper option. You don't even know what is wrong yet. Contact the manufacturer of your router and have them help you figure out what's wrong with it.
