PS3 preorder list yet

HAs anybody heard when the preorders are going to begin? Or the latest release date. I tired of hearing spring. As far as preorder I heard some shops where taking a list of names just to be called so u can put your name a the Preorder list. Crazy hugh?

I wont buy one until they are under £150. The Playstation and the PS2 have all been really crap in comparison to what sony claimed was "in game footage" and I'm not going to be suckered in.

the psp came out over here in the same year as it did in the US, i think it'll be the same for the PS3

PS3 isn't going to be crap. PS3 is using that blue laser stuff.. So doubt it'll be crap.

That "blue laser stuff" is Blu-Ray, which wont make the actual console much better, just the games, plus the disc format will hold more so graphics on films will be improved, higher definition and all that. :D

I didnt say it'll be crap, just that PS1 and 2 were crap in comparison to what sony promised. Blu Ray wont make too much difference for games straight away, it will be good for movies, but wouldnt people rather have a dedicated High capacity disc player than rely on a console.

Depends, but seen as Blu-Ray or HD-DVD players havent been released in the USA or UK yet i think people will gladly favour the PS3 and 360 as its new video players, and also Blu-Ray and HD-DVD players are gonna cost a lot some about $1000, i read somewhere.

I dunno, as a rule consoles arent as good at playing dvds as dedicated players, PS2, xbox and 360, none of them play dvds like a standalone player does. the trend wont stop. and if i can afford to spend top whack on a decent TV, then I'm not gonna scrimp on a dvd player for it
