THats pretty decent, it looks easily upgradable becasue in a year your comp will be considered antique so you can always give a little boost with an upgrade, You may want to wait a couple of months for Windows Vista though

FX-55 is an AMD chip, single core, 2.4 GHz I believe. A VERY fast chip.

BFG 7800 GTX OC 256mb is a top of the line card. Very fast, runs anything at fair to great resolution.

The FX-55 I have is actually a clawhammer and is the first FX and I believe only FX to use strained silicon. The chip is clocked at 2.6ghz not 2.4ghz.
The 7800 GTX OC is clocked at 460/1300. It will run any game you got at full detail. Put these 2 together and you got a nice machine. I am selling these because I have the FX-60 and the 7800 GTX 512 now.

Well, the computer you posted is pretty good. Might want to boost the memory up a bit and possible get a second dvd drive. and if you want games...get a video card. otherwise. that is one sweet looking computer. i got mine with almost the same spec, but with 1GB memory, 200gb hdd, and well, pretty much the same as yours for around 500$ USD. i also bought a 100$ video card and a 60$ surround sound system.

If you don't want it to lag then I would up your RAM to no less than a gig, becauser running with xp you won't have much left for your programs.

its pretty good...the only thing i can see you running into trouble with is graphic-intense games because the video card is kinda meh...you might want to get like a 6800 or x800, cause the price on the base models have come down a ton in the last year. and the other thing is intense video editing or similiar stuff that the amd will have trouble with, but you should be pretty good all-around unless you wanna play bf2, wow, etc on high graphic settings
