I want to throw a Bigger hard drive in my PS3. I currently have a 20GB & have a 100GB SATA drive I want to put in it. How can I save the contents of the old drive to put on the new one. Can I use a USB Flash Drive to save data to it? I haven't had a chance to experiment with it yet! Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in Advance!

Im not even sure you can do that. I know the 360 hard drive cant be upgraded with anything but a Microsoft hdd. I will look into it and see what I can find.

I guess you just take out the hdd, transfer the files to the new hdd and put it back in the PS3.

I know all you have to do is put in a new HDD and use the rebuild Hdd option in settings to use a new HDD but the thing copying my day from the old one to the new one. I guess I can try hooking it up to my pc to see if it can read the drive. I'll post anything I find out.

I was wondering the same thing a while back when my PS3 broke and I had to exchange it at Best Buy. I lost all of my game saves and data :(

Ok so I found that you can use a USB Flash Drive to Copy the Game Saves from the PS3 Hard Drive by clicking copy on the file and selecting the USB Drive. Now I just have to get a Larger Hard Drive to try the swap.
