burning speed

hi could do with some help on how i can change the speed i burn discs with as i cant get my drive to burn as slow as 2x or 4x.it only does 48x.where do i change this?

Two ways. You can either buy slower blank media (4x or 8x) or if you use Nero like I do, you can change those settings under "writing speeds" in the last menu before you burn. Also, the free version of winamp burns tremendously slow at 2x.
