ps2 problem

hey i have a ps2 and sometimes i have to bang the side of it when i start it up to read the game. I think the thing where the game clips on doesnt catch it sometimes or something. Anyone know how to fix this, i want to sell it and probably wont get a buyer with it having a problem.

That is your DVD drive. You may need to just clean the lens or maybe the drive is going out.

how would i fix it? It makes a noise like the disk isnt spinning right but when i hit it a few times it works.
