hey everyone, I currently own an xbox 360 and a ps3 (as of friday). I am currently considering buying a nintendo wii to add to my console collection. The only thing that i am worried about is if it will be a gimmik and that i may get bored of it reall easily.
any thoughts?

I had all three and i would say stick with the 360 & ps3 have a friend buy the Wii and go play it at his/her house. My wife liked it but only for the sports titles, everything else was too hard for her to control smoothly

Screw the Wii. It was fun for a week then died off. Dont waste your money.

The Wii is great but I reckon by the end of this year, into 2008 there will be a lot more must have games

The Wii is pretty fun, but I find I dont play it too often. Maybe once or twice a week max. Maybe buy one in a while, when some better titles come out for it, like Mario Party, Super Smash Bros, and Super Mario just to name a few.

I imagine the wii is good fun for multiplayer (none of my friends have one)

The Wii was absolutely amazing for like.....an hour? Something like that. It's not really worth it, I'm regretting getting it.

So yeh in my opinion the wii isn't worth $250.i'd stick with the 360 and ps3 :/

It really is a short amount of fun. In the long run, most def. go with 360 or PS3. Much more... Capable systems. Able to grow with time, unlike the Wii.
I enjoyed mine for the time being, but glad that I got rid of it. Play it elsewhere, don't spend your money on it.
I would wait for a price drop or buy one used

The reasons stated in this thread are why i dont have one.
The ONLY good game IMO is Wii Sports.

Twilight Princess is a really really good game. But you can get the exact same game on a $50 Gamecube without having to wave your arm around for every kill.

Give the Wii a chance. It just needs to get its really good games out, like Super Smash Bros., Super Mario Galazies and Metroid Prime 3. The 360 wasn't that great when it first came out. I didn't really enjoy it until Oblivion came out.

Yea, wait until there are better games. THe games get old after a while and its not as fun swinging your arm and stuff after the first 2 weeks or so. There will be new colors coming our,s o if you want more colors wait.

I cant wait for wii to get its online capabilities, but i currently own a wii, i like it but its not the preferred system for core gamers, the wii is just meant so you can move around instead of just sitting there. Sometimes I just sit and play it cause it can be tiring.
