"Microsoft is planning to release a new Xbox 360 before April ends. The new system will sport, among others, a 120GB hard drive, an HDMI output, and HDMI cables. The console will have an all-black color scheme, and its other accessories to be sold separately will use the same color scheme. The black Xbox 360 will cost US$ 479.

This 360 doesnt just have HDMI lol. It has a 120gb HDD and runs cooler than the original 360. Probably has the 65nm chip.

With the inards staying the same, not possible, the heatsinks would need to have been beefed up or atleast the fans, or even the fan duct system, but if the quote crtl said is true "everything inside of the elite 360 is the same as the core and the premium" which makes no sense, cuz theres not many ways to beef up cooling without the upgrades above..

Ive had my 360 since last summer, and it doesnt ever get that hot.. It gets warm to the touch, but it is sitting on top of a shelf, with lots of room around it.

It did freeze up for the first time ever yesterday, I put in Graw 2 and it went to a black screen, it was odd.

Definitely avoid BB or CC. I saw a special that stated that major retailers like these make very little money off of HDTV's alone and they will push you to buy cables and such at outragousely marked up prices. They showed a comarison of an 80.00 cable at BB that was like 18.00 online!

Makes perfect sense. Microsoft invested alot of money in HD-DVD. They realize that they need to make it internal like the Blu-Ray for the PS3. This is why Blu-Ray is dominating. This is definately not made up. This is the smartest move Bill Gates could make.

Next, if you just want the upgraded hard drive, spend $80 (which is the difference between the Prem and Elite anyways) and buy the special model hard drive 120GB, using the newly released tool for it, and you'll be set. Want more info ? I'll post it all up on the hack/mods section soon.
