So, I am kind of fed up with Windows and was thinking about getting a 12.1 G4 iBook for $899 USD from Amazon, should I get it?, I've never used a Mac, but heard it it easy to transfer from a PC to a Mac, and on the site xvsxp.com the OS X scored 800 and XP Pro got 691, I play comp games, but they are all available for the Mac and I have 2 years of H.S. left so I found I have less time for gams anyway so here are a few Questions I have about the Mac?

Can I write essays and save them to a jump drive and then open them on Micro Word in school?

Can the PSP usb mode work with Mac, for getting pics, movies, and music onto it?

Is it really an easy tranistion from XP to OS X?

The Only reason I am considering purchasing a iBook is becasue my laptop is getting old and for the past 6 years I have gotten nothing but Honors/High Honors, so I think I can win my parents over!

it is 1.33 ghz
512 ram
40 gb
9550 ATi Raedon 32mb
6hr battlife
airtport wireless built in
12.1 screen
Its about 999 but at Amazon a erbate makes it 899

I have a chance to go to the apple store and look at it in person :)

is this a good deal for a new g4 ibook?

My IBM laptop has similar specs but was 1300 and was 2.2ghz and had a crapier video cardhttp://www.somascs.com.br/ibook/ibookside.jpg

In my personal opinion I prefer Windows. MAC just doesn't have the flare that windows has. I mean sure Mac is great to some, but to me it seems restrained from being a computer. If you want to use your CPU to the max I suggest you get Windows.

Okay I went to the Apple store and checked out the iBook, what i forgot to ask the guy was, 1. How much HD Space is left after apple installs all of its features?, and 2. What is the range of the wireless?

I found the iBook very pleasing, good for a student like me, and lucky for me the only games I want to play MoH and Starcraft are available so I am tempted to buy it!

I cant stand the MAC. They dont have the compatability of games that the PC has. And video cards..... wont even go there.
