You cannot always easily add more memory to laptops afterwards so check that first.

Ok i just Found out to my Dismay i only have about $1000 so im not sure what i should do My parents wont let me do a payment plan so i cant get any thing thats gong to be over $860 (any thing more will go over 1000 with taxes) so MDG is out of the Question So i think ill either go with Dell or just say fuck it and goto Bestbuy or Future shop
With a budget that low it's going to be hard to get something that will be very productive. It's a lot easier to configure an awesome desktop with a grand, but laptops are another ball game. I'd suggest saving more money up. It will benefit you more in the long run. Look at Dell.com and Sagernotebooks.com.

Get Dell, as for that HP, HP sucks their computers are crap quality, especially their laptops.

I purchased a brand new HP laptop two years ago. Retailed for $999 at the time. I bought it brand new for $550 and havent had a single problem with it. So I don't know where you get that they are crap quality.

Integrated mobos, plastic parts, heating issues, touch pad issues, dead ports. Ive had to repaid quite a bit of HP's so thats what im getting my judgement on them. If it works for you then thats fine but I would never recomend a HP/Compaq to anyone.
