so we at the boards i got this as well as several others, are taking action we are emailing them here
http://wgntv.trb.com/news/wgntv-email-9pmnews.emailform demanding a public nationwide press event apology to our community.
Pleas help us in this travesty of a news cast, they keep trying to show us in a darker light each day.
In your eamil to theme please demand that 1 they recall that newscast! and 2 they make a public national news apoplogy that the newscast was aired and an apology to the gaming community!

Too many games can be like crack, but that is disgusting if every waking monment you think about games *cough* FPS Doug *cough*, a healthy 1-2 hours a week is fine, so i can see how they relate it to crack

I've Know that Everquest is renamed to Evercrack because both my 33 year old uncle and 22 year old cousin are hooked on it daily. It at a point where If they call a hotel fpr reservations they ask if there A) A-V hook ups.

B) internet connection.

and even C) if tv's have to AV jacks my uncle brings his own tv from home. His 19 inch

Video games may be slightly addicting, but I wouldn't relate them to drugs. Although video games are addictive, they don't NORMALLY cause harm to the user, much unlike cocaine.

The bottom linne is... The media can go to hell.

Not very many people outside of the gaming community realize how its actually benefitting gamers, whose average age is around the teens. Besides the fact of learning technology the fun way through mods, UI custimaztion, understanding of different types of math (which is what games are basicly made up of), and some others Im sure Im forgeting, then I would totally agree with the WB newscast.

Wow, I never really thought of it that way. Games have lots of advantages, but people relate them to T.V, which is a little less beneficial (depending on what you watch).
