hi, im going a project for school and one of the dumbass camerna guys couuldnt get the vidoe oof his camera so he used a dvvd recored to copy it too me. But i cant work with the .vob files and so i need a converter to convert the vob files into comething i can use, like .wmv or mov. can anyone name a free program i can download that will make my work possible? thanks

if you send it to me i'll convert it to windows media (.wmv) for free. i don't know any free programs to convert video as the ones i'm using are paid. :D

lol, i cant sent it as its about 2 gb. lol what is the name of the program you use?

ulead videostudio 9, adobe premiere elements 1. I also have this thing called "windows media encoder" don't know if it's freeware or not.
or you could try windows movie maker and save the file as .wmv or search download.com for a free trial of one. :wink:

thanks for the help. aparently the school media suite does have a program for this, so i should get this doen, even if it kills my sanity,lol. thanks again.
and dvd software player should be able to open vob files. I just opened up a vob file in WMP.

plenty of freeware that can do this.
