ps3 mbps speed

Im not sure if this is the right way to word this but how fast the ps3's wifi travel in mbps? I don't wasnt to get a wifi bridge that goes 54mbps when the ps3 can go faster. I heard a long time ago that its 54mbps but Im not sure if that was a rumor or something.

Doesnt it depend on your connection aswell? Either way, its pretty damn fast.

Actually the wifi sucks. Its about 1/4 the speed of a wired connection. Maybe an update can fix this.

If you look at at post in the off topic im looking for a wifi bridge. The one that I have now does about 300 and something and i don't want to get something thats too slow.
