yes it would. you'll probaly need a media center enabled pc to run it as i have media center and a media pc to run it properly. 8)

here are some low-res screenshots of the media center taken off my pc:

you need a media center enabeld pc to run it properly. "media pc" 8) have a look at the media center pc's in your local pc shop and you'll see what i mean. 8)

well, a media pc comes with the right connections and stuff to run the tv, radio, video, dvd, photo etc but you might be able to stream the stuff to your 360 without these connections. but if you want to get the full use and benifit of media center edition, you'll need a media pc. 8)

that is not exactly true, you can install media on almost any newer computer, as for the hardware on a laptop there is no difference, when a pc is sold with media center they have added options for the hardware like a tv tuner and so on, but it is not need to run it

ok thats what i was trying to say. it has all the added options and stuff but you may not need them all. IDK i'm just saying what i think since i have a media pc and windows media edition but hey, try it anyway on your laptop and if it works then it works!

i'm just saying that media center edition = better suited to media pc's thats why they built them in the first place 8)

Media center edition is an even crappier version of home (even though it didn't seem possible). Don't waste your money.

the guy above biggsy, windows media is NOT a crappier version xp home!

it has many features and stuff windows xp home does not and if you're lucky like me you can get the professional version which is even better. 8)
