Got a technical explanation, or just an opinion ?
and don't say every file is signed, cause how would we get away patching the security sector.

The only way to add textures to a game are when the files are ripped to a file and ran on an emulator on your PC. I have never heard of anyone editing a game that runs on a disk.

In theory it sounds logical to me. even if all we did was invert the bytes in the image. this would prove that texturing modding is plausible, and thus yes it is possible to change some texture for a nice show off.

Anyway I'm organizing a package, in which all someone would have to do is use the wx tools to extract a part of the doa4 iso, ppf patch it, then re-inject it using wx360 again.

You sound like you know what you are talking about. Get the package together and I am sure someone will give it a go.

Ok, here it is a simple proof of concept, which should patch kasumi's face blue. (inverted colour on the texture)
