i have two younger brothers who love playing video games, but alot of the games are too complicated for them and require alot of reading, which is sometimes too advanced for them. Right now they really like the Lego Star Wars, super smash brothers, halo, and burnout. Most of them are pretty easy once they get the controls down. I went to EB games today and I didnt know of any games that would be simple for them so they wouldnt be bugging me everytime they get stuck on a hard part.

Sure there are alot of games that keep them occupied but im looking for a game that they could play where they actually know what they are doing

Are there any games you guys recommend that you think would be easy for them? Or any kids from the age of 6-8?

they like
Super Smash Brothers - gamecube and N64
mario kart- super nintendo
original burnout- xbox
lego starwars- xbox
(they do not own these systems, they are mine and I let them play games on them sometimes :) )

those are some of their favorite games where they understand the game objectives

You could introduce them into the Super Mario World and Super Mario Bros pretty simple but i'd keep them away from super mario 64! And the sequel to lego star wars is coming out and you can never beat a fighting game like tekken or soul calibuer! easy to learn and button smashing is a geek pastime!

you know that's right, i geuss i could bring out the old super nintendo, if I can find it lol. I think they have played dead or alive before ont he xbox and they liked it, that's why they like SMBM so much because it's kinda like buttom smashing with some cartoon characters

Get NFS and tell her that it teachs you how to be a mechanic. (sp?)

Edit: OOps, didn't even read the first post. Umm..get them LoCoRoCo. It teachs you how to eat flying pink things. Everyone needs to know how to do that.

pikmin 1 & 2 would be great for them, they wouldnt need to read the text to know what was going on. plus you would love the games too :D

yeah you control a maximum of 100 at a time although you can have more stored in there little ships. the first game is a little short as you have a maximum amount of 30 things (ship parts) to collect from all the areas in 30 game days. the second game (which is quite rare now) is a lot longer, there's no time limit and a lot more items to collect, 200 in total. if you can only get one of the games aim for pikmin 2 to but if you can get both you wont be disappointed

I forgot about cubivore! I used to love that game when I was little. It involve alot of just killing little weird monsters. It isn't educational but pretty simple.

loco roco gotta be for the psp, speedball2 on the genesis was quite a simple but great game, teaches you about team managment while smashing steel balls into peoples faces.
