Microsoft is most likely open to a Blu-ray add-on drive if necessary. In a recent interview with BBC News, Neil Thompson (Xbox UK) stated "whatever format wins, it is highly likely we will offer a solution". This means that while 360 owners can relax about the HD war PS3 owners can only hope their blu-ray drives don't become useless.

The only problem with add-ons is the fact that the quality is not as good. This is so the product wont be too costly. A good example is the HD-DVD add-on. The quality is much lower than the standalone player.

Exactly! The HDDVD add on sucks for the 360, I am waiting for a dual format player, that can do hddvd and bluray. I know there is a few out but I dont want to spend more than 300-400 on one.
