Router advice

I have a wireless-G router right now and want to know if it will work okay in my new house. It's a 2 story house and the router will be located on the second floor with my 360/ps3 on the first. Besides having to go down stairs there are no walls or doors blocking the router to the consoles (not sure if that matters) and it's probably about 75-100 feet away. Do you guys think a G router will do the trick? If not will an N router be sufficient?

G should work fine

Just do a "N". If you already have a "G" I am sure it will work fine.

The ps3 and 360 are only G connections, so there is no difference for him between the g and n

Cool, thanks for the link. I didn't even consider the consoles compatibility. I wonder if a simple software update will make them compatible with n-routers in the future or if some type of hardware upgrade would be necessary.

It would have to be a hardware upgrade. So most likely not happen on the current ps3s

But if you're in the market for a new router go with the Belkin N1 Vision

my linksys works great and it's a g. I'll only upgrade if absolutely necessary. N routers aren't that expensive (according to Rage's link).
