hi im new here. i am trying to buy either xbox 360 elite or a ps3. i don't know which one to go for. does anybody have any suggestions?? which one do u have ? and why did u choose it?

I've had my 360 for awhile and just picked up a ps3. Haven't played enough PS3 to make a solid decision though. I do know that the 360 kills the ps3 in the downloadable content area. Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 is laggier on my PS3 than the first Rainbow six on my 360. Sorry for the lack of info but I don't have much PS3 experience yet.

I had a 360 and sold it for m,y PS3. Online content is better with the 360. The menus and screens where better than the the PS3. I love my PS 3 and would not give it up for the world. Buy both!

I do like how the PS3's content is all quickly accessible from the xmb. It's easier to send messages and stuff. The internet browser works great and I don't understand why the 360 will not incorporate one.

Hey. I would recommend getting a 360. I don't have a PS3, but I really like my 360.
In class, I had to do a compare and contrast essay. I did 360 vs. PS3. I got a C+ on it. If you want I could type it up for you. Maybe that would help. If you do, remember that I'm in 6th grade, and you probably know everything I wrote on it. It was more for people who had know idea what the 2 systems were, but it could maybe help. Well I've had my Elite 360 for 3 months and already have 15 games for it, mostly bought cheap or second hand. I prefer the setup of its controller compared to the PS3, the analogue sticks are spaced further apart and for me are more comfortable to use. To play online on Xbox Live you need to pay £40 per year but its worth it. You gain gamerpoints from each game you play (look at my sig for my gamertag and score), in some games the points are easy to get and in others like Oblivion it takes ages. I've been hooked on Oblivion so only have a gamerscore of 2120.
The 360 has the best selection of games currently but the PS3 is getting better. I recommend the 360 but its really down to you.

The 360 currently has a far better selection of exclusive games. The games that are on both 360 and PS3 are better to get for the 360 because of achievements and possible downloadable content. Then of course Xbox Live is still better than PS online. Yeah, I'd get an Xbox 360.

I would say both if you can afford it, if not the 360 would be the better buy. By one pre-modded then get tons of cheap games

I say the Ps3 because of blue ray and because 360 has been really pissy lately with me and with the 360 3 rings alot

If he buys a brand new 360 then he should have absolutely no problems with it getting the three red lights.
